Rakshit Sethi

 

Rakshit is the founder and investment principal at Fair Value Capital. A student of the Ben Graham school of value investing, he has been a practicing value investor generating exceptional returns for his clients over the years. A former Investment Banker, Rakshit has in-depth knowledge of the functioning and intricacies of the Indian capital markets having been a part of them as an investor, a trader, a fund manager, a consultant and an Investment Banker over the years.

           

Rakshit worked as an Investment Consultant with Kotak Securities, then a JV between the Kotak Mahindra Group and Goldman Sachs LLP and one of India’s largest investment banks and brokerage houses. As an investment consultant, he has hands on experience in areas like Research, Portfolio Management Services, Equity & Derivative trading desks and Initial Public Offerings (IPO’s) over the years. Rakshit has also worked with Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu in their Corporate Finance (M&A) and Management Consultancy practice in New Delhi.

 

Rakshit has also acted as an advisor for multi million-dollar transactions, such as private placements and acquisitions, to some of the leading corporates in India.

 

An MBA in Finance from India’s premier business school, Rakshit has an undergraduate degree in Economics (honors) from the premier Hindu College, Delhi University. He was an international representative of his MBA class for a term, at the Copenhagen Business School, Denmark, during the course of his MBA. A passionate student of Economics and Value Investing, Rakshit is also a student of disciplines like Behavioral Finance and Psychology, which have added a considerable edge in his investing skills over the years.
